Kazakhstan's Zulfiya Chinshanlo on Sunday set a new world record in women's weightlifting at the London Olympics, managing 131 kilogrammes in the clean and jerk, dpa reported.
Chinshanlo, who also broke an Olympic record by lifting a total of 226 kilogrammes in the 53-kilogramme category, earning her gold.
It was the first Olympic medal for the 19-year-old double world champion, and the second for Kazakhstan in the London Games after victory in the men's cycling road race on Saturday.
Taipei's Shu-Ching Hsu won silver, while Moldova's Cristina Iovu took bronze.
