Kazakh President discusses cooperation issues with Russian Lukoil

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev met with head of Russian Lukoil company Vagit Alekperov in the frame of the visit to Russia, the presidential press-service reported.
Within the meeting the parties discussed Lukoil's investment activity in Kazakhstan's oil-producing industry and prospects of its cooperation with Kazakh National Oil and Gas Company KazMunaiGas.
Alekperov also informed Nazarbayev about the implementation of major industrial projects in the oil and gas industry in Western Kazakhstan.
Lukoil has been working in Kazakhstan since 1995. The company participates in seven Kazakh mining projects, as well as in the Caspian Pipeline Consortium.
