Kazakh PM to discuss bilateral relations in Uzbekistan

Kazakh Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov will pay a working visit to Uzbekistan on December 21-22, Novosti-Kazakhstan quoted the official representative of the central communications service under the Kazakh President Altai Abibullayev as saying on Wednesday.
"During the talks with Uzbek President Islam Karimov and Uzbek Prime Minister it is planned to discuss trade, economic and cultural relations as well as cooperation in the field of water and energy," Abibullayev said at the briefing in Astana.
The trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in 2011 amounted to $1.95 billion (23.9 percent increase compared to 2010). In January-October 2012 the trade turnover between two countries hit $1.7 billion.
