A special commission will investigate the crash of a military transport plane An-72 in Kazakhstan in 30 days, the press service of the Ministry of Defense informed.

"Today, the experts conducted decoding of onboard recorder and flight data recorders. Investigation into the crash of military transport aircraft will be carried out within 30 days", the Ministry of Defense stated.

Commission to investigate the causes of the crash of AN-72 that belonged to the border troops of Kazakhstan's National Security Committee was established in accordance with the directive of the Minister of Defense from December 26. The committee is headed by the Head of the General Department of Safety Oversight of State Aviation of Kazakhstan Murat Kazhmuratov. The committee consists of 13 people, including 11 specialists from the Ministry of Defense, and two members from the Ministry of Transport and Communications.

In its work the committee members will be guided by the "Rules of investigation of accidents and incidents," approved by the Government of Kazakhstan in July 2011.

Received data will be collected and analyzed. Conclusions of the Commission on causes of the crash will be prepared in aftermath of these works. Conclusion will be made public without fail.

AN-72 airplane that belonged to the border troops of Kazakhstan's National Security Committee (KNB) crashed on December 25 around 19:00 near the city of Shymkent in Kazakhstan killing all 27 people on board. The acting director of the Frontier Service of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan, Colonel Turganbek Stambekov was among the killed people.
