An aircraft belonging to Kazakh Airline SCAT, which was flying from Aktau (administrative centre of the Mangistau region of Kazakhstan) to Tbilisi, made an emergency landing at the airport in the Georgian capital.

An aircraft belonging to Kazakh Airline SCAT, which was flying from Aktau (administrative centre of the Mangistau region of Kazakhstan) to Tbilisi, made an emergency landing at the airport in the Georgian capital.

"Half an hour ago, an aircraft of SCAT Airline flying from Aktau made an emergency landing on an alternate runway. The entire cabin was filled with smoke," a source at Aktau Airport told the Interfax-Kazakhstan Agency.

He said the passengers were urgently evacuated from the cabin and several fire engines were on duty at the ramp.
