Starting November 14, 2013, Kazakh citizens will give biometric data (fingerprints and biometric photos) to apply for an open visa in all offices of the Schengen countries, the press department of the German embassy inKazakhstan told Trend.
"This change will mean the joining of the diplomatic missions of the Central Asia to the "Visa Information System" (VIS) of Schengen countries," the representative of the embassy said.
VIS information system is designed to simplify the submission of documents for opening visa, the border control procedure in entering the Schengen Area, as well as to strengthen the security, including in accordance to the interests of the applicant.
