Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev met with the Chairman of the Board of "Sberbank of Russia" JSC Herman Gref as part of the Foreign Investors Council under the president of the Republic on June 11.
During the meeting, they discussed the bank's activity in Kazakhstan, its participation in implementing various projects aimed at developing the financial and economic sector of the country, Akorda reported.
Nazarbayev and Gref stressed the positive dynamics of developing the country's banking sector, while emphasizing its growing potential.
"Sberbank of Russia" is the largest bank in Russia and the CIS. More than 100 million physical entities and nearly one million enterprises use its services. A subsidiary of "Sberbank of Russia" with 15 branches has been operating in Kazakhstan since 2006.
