Body parts of pilots of the Su-27, which crashed in the Almaty region were found, the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan said Sept.24.
"Fragments of bodies of pilots Lt. Col. Erlan Nauanov and Lt. Col. Denis Gorbunov, who were operating Su-27 which crashed on September 23 in Almaty region, were found during the search operations," the ministry said.
The message said that additional information will be provided on the results of work of a special commission.
Earlier it was reported that the connection with the Su-27 (50) relating to Taldykorgan military base was lost during the training flights on September 23 around 8:42 p.m. (UTC +5:00).
Aircraft wreckage was found scattered in a radius of 500 meters near the village of Koksu of Almaty region. The black box is currently being searched for.
