Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has announced about launching the new economic policy implementation in the country.

"While responding to the challenges we face today, I announce about a new economic policy of Kazakhstan "Nur Jol"," President Nazarbayev said in his annual address Nov. 11.

"My new message to the nation for 2015 is dedicated to this new policy," the president said.

The president said that the global economic crisis began in 2007, adding that so far there are still economic challenges and threats observed.

"Moreover, Russia and the West are conducting a policy of sanctions now," the president said. "On the other hand, the Middle East events exert certain influence on Kazakhstan. One can say that the crisis continues."

"We must take measures against this to justify the confidence of the people," he said. "The upcoming years will not be very easy for our country."

"The world economy has not recovered from the crisis," he said. "The recovery is slow and steady, and recession is still underway somewhere."

Noting that Kazakhstan is part of the global economy, Nazarbayev said the country has trade relations with almost 100 world's countries, and is affected by the events happening in the world.

"Proceeding from my experience, I foresaw that the upcoming years will be a period of global tests in the world, as well as for our country," the president said. "Not all countries can overcome this stage with dignity, only strong, united nations and countries."

President Nazarbayev said that at present, the country must reconsider its position on certain issues and make adjustments for the future.

"We have no time to lose," he said. "The measures, which will be discussed, must be implemented from January 1, 2015. We must rapidly take all possible measures to prevent the negative trends and justify the expectations of the people. We have such experience."

President Nazarbayev said that the government actively works upon his instructions and the state budget for 2015 was reconsidered.

"This is correct because a decrease in prices on our raw materials intended for export results in low proceeds in the revenue part of the budget," he said.

Thus, President Nazarbayev said that the government seeks to fully ensure all social obligations to the people.

"The economic policy is reoriented in terms of the crisis, as experience shows," the president said. "The areas having the greatest effect on the growth of the economy and employment of people must be supported."

President Nazarbayev announced about his intention to address the people of Kazakhstan in the middle of the meeting of political council of the "Nur Otan" party Nov. 11.

In the previous years, the president addressed the people in January-February.
