President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation, Kazakh president's press service reported.
"During the conversation, the presidents of Kazakhstan and Russia discussed the agenda of the upcoming December 23 events in Moscow - the session of the CSTO Collective Security Council and the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, including the issue of the accession of Kyrgyzstan to the Eurasian Economic Union," said the press release.
The development of bilateral cooperation considering the mutual sanctions of the Russian Federation and the EU has also become the subject of the conversation of the two leaders.
In addition, the heads of states exchanged views on the crisis in Ukraine amid the upcoming winter.
