Kazakh serviceman blows himself up at defense ministry’s building

A car exploded at the building of Kazakhstan's defense ministry, the Tengrinews agency reported citing the ministry's press service.
"An explosion occurred in Astana on Feb. 10 in a Chevrolet car, in which there was a serviceman of a military unit of Kazakhstan's Defense Ministry, the Lieutenant Colonel Arman Syzdykov, born 1975," the ministry said.
The ministry said Syzdykov died on the spot from his injuries, and none of the bystanders were hurt.
An investigation group was set up to investigate the incident.
A criminal case was launched into the incident, and the necessary investigative measures are underway.
The ministry said a suicide note was found at the scene, and terrorism is ruled out.
"The details about the investigation of the incident will be announced later," the ministry's press service said.
