The candidates running for Kazakhstan's Majlis, the lower house of the parliament, started their election campaigns Feb. 20.
The expenses for the MP candidates' election campaigns should be paid with help of election funds only, according to Kazakhstan's electoral law.
The campaigning is to last until March 18.
The election will be held March 20. In total, 234 candidates from six parties will run for the MP seats.
Besides those to be elected from parties, nine MPs will be elected among the candidates running from People's Assembly of Kazakhstan. Nomination of the candidates from the Assembly starts Feb. 20 and will last until Feb. 29.
In total, 107 MPs are to be elected to the Majlis.
