France's Air Liquide S.A. will start supplying hydrogen to Kazakhstan beginning from September 1, the company said in a statement.

The company intends to carry out supplies to the Pavlodar Petrochemical Plantunder a long-term agreement.

Hydrogen is used in the hydro-treating of diesel and gasoline in order to reduce the sulfur content, which makes the fuel cleaner, the company said.

"We are glad to cooperate with KazMunayGas and start our activities in Kazakhstan. We will use our many years of experience in order to improve the efficiency and reliability of production for the benefit of our customers. We will continue to support industrial development in Kazakhstan," Olivier Randet, Air Liquide Vice-President for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, said.
