Kazakhstan's main goods exported to Central Asia announced

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 13

Kazakhstan has exported goods worth almost $4.6 billion to the countries of Central Asia in 2020, Kazakhstan’s Minister of Trade and Integration Bakhyt Sultanov said, Trend reports citing Kazakh media.

Sultanov noted that Kazakhstan’s largest trade partner among the Central Asian countries was Uzbekistan export to which equaled $2.1 billion. Kazakhstan exported wheat, flour, oil and oil products, metals, and metal products to Uzbekistan.

"Kazakhstan exported goods worth about $800 million to Tajikistan, including wheat, natural gas, oil products, coal. Export to Kyrgyzstan was $562 million and the same types of products were exported," Sultanov added.

The total volume of Kazakhstan’s trade turnover amounted to $85.03 billion over the period from January through Dec. 2020 which indicates a decrease from $97.7 billion during the same period of 2019.

Kazakhstan’s export amounted to $46.9 billion during the reporting period of 2020 ($58.06 billion in the same period of 2019), whereas imports amounted to $38.08 billion ($39.7 billion in 2019).
