Kazakhstan receives Chinese Sinopharm vaccine

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Aug. 16

The vaccine of the Chinese Sinopharm was delivered to Nur-Sultan, Trend reports citing Kazakh media.

According to the deputy head of the City Healthcare Department Aliya Rustemova, citizens will be vaccinated with a vaccine approved by WHO as soon as it is delivered to vaccination points.

"However, first, vaccines are delivered to the vaccination points of medical organizations. For each point at malls we have assigned PHC organizations, which, within 24 hours after receiving the vaccine, deliver them to the vaccination points of shopping centers," she said.

The City Healthcare Department informed that in order to avoid problem situations with the receipt of the second component, citizens should, if possible, be vaccinated in one place, that is, receive two components at the same vaccination point.

"We ask citizens to receive both the first and the second component at the same vaccination point. If, for example, you came to a certain clinic or shopping center for the first dose, then we recommend vaccinating with the second dose in the same place, observing the interval between vaccinations ", - the message said.

Currently, three types of vaccines are available in the capital of Kazakhstan - the Russian Sputnik, Kazakh QazVac vaccine and Chinese Sinopharm.
