Kazakhstan to launch polyurethane foam plant in Aktobe region

Kazakhstan’s Energy Minister Magzum Mirzagaliyev spoke about regional projects in the sphere of industrialization at the government’s meeting, Trend reports referring to Kazinform.

“Regional projects of the Industrialization Map are concentrated in five regions of our country in two main directions. One of them is oil and gas processing. Six projects worth 113 billion tenge ($270 million) in this sphere are underway,” Mirzagaliyev said.

According to him, four projects worth 7.9 billion tenge ($19 million) for the production of petrochemical reagents, polyurethane foam, mineral wool, as well as associated gas processing are being implemented in the Aktobe region.

“These projects will be completed this year with the opening of more than 300 new jobs,” the minister noted.

Another direction is the implementation of projects in the sphere of renewable energy sources, he added.
