Kazakhstan unveils priority spheres of development of agro-industrial complex

Kazakh Prime Minister Askar Mamin has disclosed the spheres of the agro-industrial sector, which will be developed in the country, during a meeting with journalists, Trend reports referring to the Kazakh media.

Mamin stressed that Kazakhstan is one of five countries in the world with the biggest potential for the development of the agro-industrial complex.

“Of course, it is necessary to carry out a lot of work to realize this potential,” the prime minister said. “Of course, first of all, we intend to solve the task of ensuring food security during COVID-19 pandemic. The second task that we face is the development of export potential.”

The prime minister added that the mentioned tasks are interconnected.

The prime minister also stressed that Kazakhstan must improve positions related to poultry meat, sausages, sugar, fish, dairy products and apples.
