Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan to build industrial trade and logistics complex on border

Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov and Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan Daniyar Amangeldiev signed two documents on Dec. 7, Trend reports with reference to the Kazakh Ministry of Trade and Integration.

So, specific measures are envisaged according to the Joint Action Plan (Road Map) for the creation and operation of wholesale distribution centers in the Kyrgyz Republic.

Among these measures are the determination of the location of the wholesale distribution centers, the consideration of the financing issue, the provision with engineering and technical communications and other issues necessary for the creation and operation of wholesale distribution centers.

The priority documents, namely, the financial and economic model, as well as the concept for the construction of the wholesale distribution centers will be prepared in the first quarter of 2022.

According to the experts' forecasts, the effect of the proposed measures can be assessed at the level of the possibility of doubling the export of fruits and vegetables from Kyrgyzstan from $90 million up to $175 million.

Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan continue to work together to create a border industrial trade and logistics complex.

The signed Joint Action Plan for the creation and operation of an industrial trade and logistics complex near the Ak-Tilek-Karasu checkpoint on the Kyrgyzstan-Kazakhstan border is the continuation of the agreements and includes all the necessary preparatory, regulatory actions and investments.
