Kazakhstan launches new agro-industrial projects in Kostanay region

Deputy governor of Kazakhstan’s Kostanay region Arman Abenov launched a new livestock facility in the village of Mayak, Trend reports referring to the press service of the regional administration.

According to the press service, a dairy farm, designed for 50 heads of milk cows of the Simmental breed, which were brought from Austria, was inaugurated in the region.

"The investment project has already turned into a whole complex of livestock facilities. A separate building for workers and specialists has been built on the basis of the farm, a building for receiving, redistributing and storing milk, a room for calves and milking cows. For these purposes, a five-cube tanker - cooler, a car - a milk tanker and two milking machines," the press service said.

The design capacity of the production is 180 tons of milk and two tons of dairy products per year. The cost of the project is 180 million tenge ($410,000) of equity investments.

Then Abenov visited the livestock base of the peasant farm "Zhantasov" in the village of Tagilskoye.

The project of this peasant farm is designed to expand livestock breeding for meat production.

Currently, on the territory of the peasant farm, there are three livestock facilities for keeping cattle built in 2020 and 2021. In general, the costs amounted to 60 million tenge ($140,000) of own funds.

"In total, the farm maintains 406 heads of cattle of the Aberdeen Angus breed, including 248 cows of broodstock breeding stock. As for further development, the farm plans to increase the breeding stock up to 500 heads, as well as open a feedlot for the same number of heads," added the press service.
