Farmers have started the sowing campaign in Zhambyl district ahead of schedule due to favorable weather conditions in Kazakhstan this year, Trend reports with reference to the press-service of governor of Zhambyl district.
“The agricultural crops are planned to be sown on a 741,200-hectare-area this year,” the message said. “The irrigation water wells are drilled in the districts. In total, farms submitted 182 applications for drilling wells, 86 of them have been already prepared. As a result, irrigation water is available for 3,800 hectares.”
According to the message, people, having gathered together, plan to clean 122 canals stretching 478.6 kilometers from February through April.
“Over 1,000 villagers jointly cleaned 80 canals stretching 725 kilometers,” the message said. “If all the necessary measures are taken on time, then it is possible to hope for getting the rich harvest.”
