Kazakhstan reveals growth rates of national economy for 4M2022

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 12. The growth rate of Kazakhstan’s economy amounted to 4.4 percent from January through April 2022, Minister of National Economy Alibek Kuantyrov said at the governmental meeting in Nur-Sultan on May 12, Trend reports citing the government.

According to Kuantyrov, in the reporting period for main trends growth in the real sector accelerated by 5.1 percent, exports progressively increased, and business activity in the service sector grew to 3.4 percent.

Meanwhile, transport, construction, trade and warehousing, information and communications, processing, water supply, mining, and agriculture demonstrated positive growth, and the rate of increase of fixed capital investments equaled 2.3 percent.

"From January through April of this year, foreign trade turnover increased by 45 percent and amounted to $28.7 billion. Of these, the export indicator increased by 66 percent and amounted to $19.1 billion. At the same time, the export of processed goods increased by 32.4 percent to $5.3 billion. Imports of goods amounted to $9.5 billion,” added Kuantyrov.
