BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 11. OPEC forecasts an increase in Kazakhstan’s liquids supply for 2023, Trend reports via the organization.

According to OPEC, liquids supply is forecast to increase by 60,000 barrels per day, due to production ramp-ups in the Kashagan oil field of Kazakhstan. Oil production in the country’s Tengiz field and gas condensate output in the Karachaganak field is also expected to rise marginally.

Liquids output in Kazakhstan decreased by 386,000 barrels per day to an average of 1.5 million barrels per day in June. Crude production was down by 341,000 barrels per day month-on-month to an average of 1.2 million barrels per day.

Production of NGLs (Natural gas liquids) also decreased by 45,000 barrels per day month-on-month to an average of 0.3 barrels per day. This was mainly due to extensive maintenance in the Kashagan oil field.

Kazakhstan’s liquids supply for 2022 is now forecast to grow by 80,000 barrels per day to average 1.9 million barrels per day, down by 37,000 barrels per day compared to the previous month’s assessment.
