BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 3. A number of measures has been proposed to attract investments in subsoil development in Kazakhstan, Minister of Industry and Infrastructural Development Kairbek Uskenbayev said at the governmental meeting, Trend reports.
According to Uskenbayev, to simplify legislation and procedures for attracting the mentioned investments, it’s proposed to:
- revise the Code "On subsoil and subsoil use" for obsolete, non-working norms and norms with excessive detail;
- re-engineer business processes, taking into account simplification and digitization;
- automate business processes on the ‘Kaz-Nedra’ platform.
He noted that already this month, within the framework of the ‘Kaz-Nedra’ information system in a pilot project, it will be possible to obtain licenses for the exploration of solid minerals, and by the end of the year, it’s planned to automate other functions in the field of solid minerals.
"Given digitalization, all business processes and regulatory requirements for investors will be reviewed and simplified," explained the minister.
