BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 28. Kazakhstan has held an auction on the installation of wind power plants with a total capacity of 50 MW for the northern zone of the Unified Electric Power System of the Kostanay region, Trend reports with reference to the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan.

With the maximum threshold set at 21,53 Kazakh tenge excluding VAT ($0.047) per MWh, only 7 companies have been allowed to participate.

Thus, Kazakhstan’s Aspan Energo LLP has won the auction with a price of 12.97 Kazakh tenge ($0.02) per MWh and now will be engaged in the implementation of a project with a total capacity of 50 MW.

As a result, the decrease in the auction price made up 39.7 percent, which is considered to be a very solid indicator.

Meanwhile, on November 29, another auction round will be held for the 100 MW capacity wind power plants.
