BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 10. Kazakhstan’s Aktobe region expects 2023 to become a year of growth in all major socio-economic indicators, Trend reports, citing Kazakh media.

Only wholesale and retail trade is expected to decrease slightly.

During the meeting at the regional municipality, Yeraly Tugzhanov, the head of the municipality, said that the region concluded 2022 with strong macroeconomic results.

The region saved around 6.9 billion Kazakh tenge (nearly $15 million) of budget money, however, these resources have not been spent because some projects were not implemented.

Around 1.9 billion Kazakh tenge ($4.1 million) of the saved amount was expected to be invested in economic projects. The projects have not been completed due to the non-fulfillment of contractors’ obligations.

Tugzhanov said that these projects have to be implemented at the earliest possibility to boost the economic capacity of the region.
