BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 11. The total direct investments flow from the US to Kazakhstan since 1993 till 2022 amounted to more than $62 billion, Trend reports, citing Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This has been disclosed at the meeting between Kazakh FM Mukhtar Tleuberdi and the US Ambassador to Kazakhstan Daniel Rosenblum.

Over the first three quarters of 2022, the volume of direct US investments in Kazakhstan increased by 58.8 percent year-on-year to more than $5 billion.

The sides discussed critical issues on the bilateral agenda of political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, as well as the schedule of upcoming events.

By 2022-end, the bilateral trade increased by 37.2 percent year-on-year, amounting to $3.05 billion, they mentioned.

The parties expressed confidence in the further development of the expanded strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and the United States in all areas of mutual interest.

Meanwhile, the US entered the TOP-10 of main investors in Kazakhstan over the last year.

At the same time, Alikhan Smailov, Kazakh PM, said, Kazakhstan aims to attract FDIs worth around $24.4 billion in 2023.
