BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 14. Kazakhstan’s Minister of Industry and Infrastructural Development Marat Karabaiev and the delegation of the Abu Dhabi Ports Group agreed to jointly develop the International North–South Transport Corridor and the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, Trend reports, citing the press service of the Ministry.

Kazakhstan and Abu Dhabi Ports group reviewed the possibility of integrating the information system of Kazakhstan’s national railway carrier, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ), with the Abu Dhabi Ports Group logistics platform.

The sides also discussed the joint implementation of the projects, including the construction of the “Sarzha” multifunctional terminal carried out jointly with Semurg Invest. Kazakh and Abu Dhabi Ports Group officials also negotiated the matter of providing the Kazakh side with terminal facilities in the port of Bandar Abbas.

Additionally, an agreement was reached on concluding an agreement on the "Green line" in the field of transport, which will include Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Iran, and Kazakhstan.

Abu Dhabi Ports Group demonstrates significant interest in broadening the scope of cooperation with Kazakhstan. Earlier, the company signed an agreement on cooperation with KazMunayGas, in addition to discussing cooperation opportunities with the KTZ. The cooperation between the Abu Dhabi Ports Group and Kazakh companies was formally launched during the latest visit of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the United Arab Emirates.
