BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 11. KazTransOil, the oil transport company of Kazakhstan, and Abu Dhabi Ports Group are working out details to expand their energy and transport cooperation in Georgia, Trend reports, citing KazTransOil.

To further the cooperation in these fields, representatives of “Batumi oil terminal” (subsidiary of KazTransOil) and Batumi Sea Port (fully owned by “Batumi oil terminal”) held talks with Abu Dhabi Ports Group, Kazmortransflot (national maritime company) and KMG Systems&Services.

In the framework of the multilateral meeting, the sides discussed the possibilities to increase the capacity of the Batumi port and oil terminal for the purpose of transporting oil via the Black Sea.

Earlier, Abu Dhabi Ports Group reached an agreement with KazMunayGas, the national oil company of Kazakhstan, on the procurement of a tanker fleet to streamline the transportation of goods.

Abu Dhabi Ports Group signed an agreement on cooperation with KazMunayGas in the framework of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s visit to the UAE. The agreement entails establishing cooperation between the companies to facilitate oil transit via Azerbaijan and jointly developing the Trans-Caspian International Trade Route.
