BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 13. The total trading volume on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange JSC (KASE) amounted to 28 trillion Kazakh tenge ($62.4 billion) having increased by 15.9 percent or 3.8 trillion Kazakh tenge ($8.4 billion) in April 2023 compared to March, Trend reports via the KASE's report.
The value of the KASE Index increased by 6.2 percent and amounted to 3,559.90 points. The volume of transactions with index shares in April 2023 amounted to 40.5 billion Kazakh tenge ($90.3 million), which is 2.7 times, or 25.5 billion Kazakh tenge ($56.8 million), more than in March 2023.
The largest trading volume fell on common shares of KazMunayGas, Kazakshtan's national company, 36.1 billion Kazakh tenge or $80.4 million (89.1 percent of the total trading volume with index shares).
KASE Index is the ratio of included into the representative list shares market prices at the list development date to this list shares prices at a certain date, weighted on capitalization considering free-floating shares.
The historical minimum of this index was 69.48 points, while the historical maximum was 3,810.70 points.
