BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 25. The revenue plan of Kazakhstan's Republican budget was successfully executed at 101.9 percent, totaling 16 trillion Kazakh tenge ($35.8 billion), Kazakhstan's Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance Yerulan Zhamaubayev said, Trend reports.
He made the remark while presenting the report on the execution of the 2022 Republican budget during a session in the Senate Parliament.
According to the minister, the plan exceeded 310 billion Kazakh tenge ($695.2 million), with tax revenues accounting for 210 billion Kazakh tenge ($470.9 million) of the surplus. Most of the over-performance in tax revenues was attributed to value-added tax (VAT) contributions.
The increase in revenue was primarily driven by the growth of macroeconomic indicators, as well as the digitization of tax and customs administration.
Budget expenditures were executed at 98.6 percent and amounted to 18.5 trillion Kazakh tenge ($41.4 billion).
In 2022, three state programs and ten national projects were implemented as part of the government's state planning system.
