BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 29. Kazakhstan and Luxembourg have huge potential in exploring cooperation in the fields of transport and space industry, Murat Nurtleu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, said, Trend reports.
He has made this remark during the meeting with his counterpart from Luxembourg Jean Asselborn.
The minister also highlighted that the opening of flights by one of Europe's largest cargo airlines, Cargolux, in the direction of Europe-Asia through the international airport in Astana is the result of joint efforts and instills confidence in future prospects.
"Thus, we once again see the potential of Kazakhstan as a bridge connecting the West and the East. Additionally, there is significant potential for enhancing Kazakhstan-Luxembourg cooperation in peaceful exploration and the use of transport and space. Today, relevant documents were signed in these industries," added Murat Nurtleu.
The minister also pointed out that the trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Luxembourg from January through April 2023 increased by 4.5 times.
"Further development of trade and economic cooperation is an effective driver for strengthening our relations. Therefore, we pay special attention to this. In 2022, our trade turnover grew by 2.5 times. As noted during the negotiations, this is not the limit of the existing potential. Accordingly, we have agreed to explore new opportunities together. I would like to emphasize separately that the organization of a visit by the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce to Kazakhstan is planned, during which we will focus on mutually beneficial areas. The Kazakh side is ready to create favorable conditions for Luxembourg companies intending to enter our market and jointly export finished products to external markets," he said.
