ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 6. A plant for the production of pump-compressor pipes and sucker rods will open in Mangystau region thanks to investments in the amount of more than 17 billion tenge (about $36.8 million) from KazPetroDrilling, Trend reports.
The project is carried out within the framework of a memorandum signed by the first deputy head of of executive power of Mangistau region Zhumabay Karagayev and the vice president of KazPetroDrilling Kayirbek Yeleusinov.
The launch of the plant is planned to be carried out in the city of Zhanaozen by the end of 2024.
The production capacity of the plant will be 51,000 tons of pump-compressor pipes and 540,000 sucker rods per year. The project will create more than 150 jobs during construction and 330 jobs during operation.
KazPetroDrilling is the largest independent drilling company in the Republic of Kazakhstan, which has been providing oilfield services since 1965. The company specializes in providing a wide range of services in the field of drilling, workover and abandonment of wells, hydraulic fracturing, well cementing and production of oilfield equipment for the needs of the oil and gas sector.
