Kazakhstan leads EAEU in terms of cheapest fuel

ASTANA, Kazakhstan, October 25. Kazakhstan took first place in terms of the cheapness of fuel among the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), Trend reports.

Data from the Antimonopoly Regulation Service under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan shows that the average price for RON-92 in Kazakhstan as of October 24 was 38.3 Kyrgyz soms ($0.43).

In Russia, this brand of gasoline cost 48.2 soms ($0.54), in Belarus - 61.4 soms ($0.69), in Kyrgyzstan - 64.1 soms ($0.72), in Uzbekistan - 74.5 soms ($0.83), in Tajikistan - 79.9 soms ($0.89), and in Armenia - 118.4 soms ($1.33).

In addition, RON-95 gasoline also turned out to be the cheapest among the EAEU countries in Kazakhstan at 49.4 soms ($0.55). In other EAEU countries, this brand of gasoline varies in price from 52.4 soms, or about $0.59 (Russia), to 127.4 soms, or about $1.43 (Armenia).

The price of diesel fuel in Kazakhstan was 55 soms ($0.62), which is also the lowest among the EAEU countries.

Thus, in Russia, diesel fuel costs 60.5 soms ($0.68), in Belarus - 64.3 soms ($0.72), in Kyrgyzstan - 68.1 soms ($0.76), in Tajikistan - 91.3 soms ($1.02), in Uzbekistan - 94.9 soms ($1.06), and in Armenia - 127.4 soms ($1.43).
