ASTANA, Kazakhstan, October 30. Kazakhstan's Baiterek National Managing Holding JSC has financed investment projects worth 511 billion tenge (about $1.08 billion) from January through September 2023, Trend reports.
The Chairman of the Board of JSC National Managing Holding, Baiterek Nurlan Baybazarov, has informed the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, about this.
Also, 18,100 small and medium-sized business projects were supported for a total loan amount of about 1 trillion tenge (about $2.12 billion).
Financial support for the agricultural sector amounted to 447 billion tenge (about $951 million).
In addition, based on the results of nine months of this year, 811,200 square meters of housing were commissioned, and about 47,000 families received new housing.
Within two years, Baiterek will double the amount of support for the non-resource sector of the economy. Work will be intensified to attract investment and involve commercial banks in lending to manufacturing industry projects.
In addition, in order to saturate the domestic market and increase the export potential of the agro-industrial complex, programs for financing food industry projects will be launched, and a full-fledged export credit agency will be created.
Baiterek National Managing Holding JSC plans to transfer all services of the holding's subsidiaries to a digital format.
