ASTANA, Kazakhstan, November 7. Oil refineries of KazMunayGas (KMG, the national oil and gas company of Kazakhstan) have fully supplied the intended liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) to consumers in Astana, Trend reports.
Thus, as the company said, to meet the needs of the Kazakh city of Astana, 7,452 tons of fuel were distributed, including from the Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant - 1,980 tons and SNPS-Aktobemunaygas (not part of the KMG group) - 5,472 tons.
As the company noted, LPG production at the Pavlodar plant is currently carried out as planned. Gas is shipped in strict accordance with the approved schedule and to consumers, a list of which is provided by local executive bodies.
In November, Pavlodar plant should supply 472 tons of liquefied gas to capital consumers out of the total planned monthly volume of 8,500 tons of all supplying companies.
Another KazMunayGas' refinery, the Atyrau Oil Refinery, does not send LPG to the needs of the capital.
Due to this, scheduled maintenance work at the Atyrau Oil Refinery does not have an impact on the liquefied petroleum gas market in the city of Astana, since the plant traditionally provides this type of fuel to consumers in the Atyrau, Mangistau, West Kazakhstan and Kostanay regions.
From January through October 2023, the Atyrau Oil Refinery, with a plan of 132,919 tons, has already generated nearly 150,000 tons of liquefied petroleum gas, exceeding the goal by 13 percent.
During the same time period, the Pavlodar Oil Refinery generated over 250,000 tons of gas (an 8 percent increase over the planned 232,775 tons).
In turn, the Shymkent Oil Refinery is doing 13 percent better than expected: since the beginning of the year, the plant has generated nearly 251,000 tons of liquefied petroleum gas, although the plan called for just 222,571 tons.
The plants of the Kazakhstan's national company produced 11 percent more liquefied petroleum gas than planned.
The total average daily production of LPG at KMG refineries today is about 2,500 tons.
