KazTransOil's subsidiary to modernize main water pipeline in Kazakhstan

ASTANA, Kazakhstan, November 9. A subsidiary of Kazakhstan's KazTransOil JSC (national operator for the trunk oil pipeline), Magistralny Vodovod LLP, will issue bonds for 20 billion tenge (about $42.8 million) as part of the modernization of the Astrakhan-Mangyshlak main water pipeline, Trend reports.

According to KazTransOil, the amount of bonds will be 20 million, and the type of bonds will be coupon, without collateral.

The company noted that the nominal value of the bonds will be 1,000 tenge ($2.14), the interest on the bonds will be 0.5 percent per annum.

Payment will be made 2 times a year (April 1 and October 1 of each calendar year).

The implementation of the project will increase the capacity of the Astrakhan - Mangyshlak main water pipeline from 110,000 to 170,000 cubic meters per day in 2024.

KazTransOil is part of the KazMunayGas JSC (Kazakhstan's national oil and gas company) group. It owns a diversified network of oil trunk pipelines with a length of 5,400 km.

KazTransOil JSC owns 100 percent of the shares in the authorized capital of Magistralny Vodovod LLP.

Magistralny Vodovod LLP is the owner of the Astrakhan-Mangyshlak main water pipeline.
