ASTANA, Kazakhstan, November 28. Türkiye's crude oil imports from Kazakhstan amounted to 745,236 tons in September 2023, Trend reports.
According to Türkiye's Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA), this quantity has nearly tripled over the same period in 2022 (256,600 tons).
The share of imports from Kazakhstan is 17.08 percent of the total crude oil that Türkiye imported in September 2023 (2.961 million tons).
Kazakhstan's share of total crude oil imports from Türkiye (2.984 million tons) was 6 percent in September 2022.
In August 2023, Türkiye imported 537,280 tons of crude oil from Kazakhstan, a 12.8 percent increase over August 2022 (476,161 tons).
In 2022, Türkiye and Kazakhstan's trade turnover will be $5.1 billion. Exports to Kazakhstan totaled $1.6 billion, while imports from Kazakhstan totaled $3.5 billion.
