ASTANA, Kazakhstan, December 30. The volume of oil and gas condensate production in Kazakhstan amounted to 258,700 tons on December 29, 2023, Trend reports.
According to official estimates, gas production during the preceding period was 178.7 million cubic meters.
On December 29, Kazakhstan's oil refineries processed 49,200 tons of oil at the same time.
Meanwhile, overall gas production volume in 2022 was 53.3 billion cubic meters, or 3.1 percent more than expected. Commercial gas output totaled 27.8 billion cubic meters, or 94 percent of the expected total.
Domestic commercial gas consumption in Kazakhstan exceeded the 2022 plan by 19.3 billion cubic meters, or 7.2 percent, while exports were 4.6 billion cubic meters, or 85.1 percent of the plan.
The volume of liquefied petroleum gas produced (for the domestic market) was 2.8 million tons, or 98 percent of the anticipated total.
At the same time, the volume of oil production in Kazakhstan in 2022 amounted to 84.2 million tons, or 1.6 percent over the planned figure. Oil exports in 2022 reached 64.3 million tons, or 3.4 percent over the initial plan.
To note, Kazakhstan was planning to produce 90.5 million tons of oil in 2023, of which 71 million were for export.
