ASTANA, Kazakhstan, January 30. Kazakhstan's trade turnover with African countries amounted to $639 million from January through November 2023, Trend reports.

Data from the country's Bureau of National Statistics shows that the volume of trade turnover decreased by 30.8 percent compared to the same period in 2022 ($952.4 million).

At the same time, in the structure of trade turnover, exports to the African countries for the above period amounted to $292.8 million, which is 56 percent less than from January through November 2022 ($667 million).

In addition, imports from the African countries from January through November 2023 increased by 21.4 percent and amounted to $346.4 million. For the 11 months of 2022, imports amounted to $285.4 million.

Among the African countries, Kazakhstan has the most trade with Morocco. Thus, trade turnover from January through November 2023 with Morocco amounted to $374.7 million. Exports for this period amounted to $361 million, and imports were $13.7 million.

Meanwhile, Kazakhstan's trade turnover amounted to $125.9 billion from January through November 2023. This volume exceeds by 2 percent the indicators for the 11 months of 2022 (123.2 billion).

At the same time, export volumes for 11 months in 2023 amounted to $71.2 billion, which is 8 percent less than for 11 months in 2022 ($77.8 billion).

Moreover, the volume of imports during the period under review amounted to $54.6 billion. This is 20 percent more than for the same period in 2022 ($45.3 billion).
