ASTANA, Kazakhstan, February 12. Housing prices on the primary market in Kazakhstan increased by 2.9 percent in January 2024 compared to January 2023, Trend reports.
Data of the country's Bureau of National Statistics shows that over the same period, prices for secondary market apartments decreased by 4.4 percent.
Furthermore, the rent for comfortable housing in January 2024 is up 4.3 percent from the same month last year.
Regionally, annual main home market prices climbed dramatically in Kyzylorda by 11% and in Kostanay by 6.2 percent.
In the secondary housing market, the cities of Atyrau (8.2 percent) and Zhezkazgan (5.4 percent) led price increases, while in the rental housing market, Zhezkazgan (26.7 percent), Karaganda (23 percent), and Atyrau (21 percent).
