Kazakhstan reveals plans for investment projects in Arys in midterm

ASTANA, Kazakhstan, March 14. In the Kazakh city of Arys, 33 investment projects will be implemented in 2024-2029 for a total amount of 46 billion tenge ($102.2 million), said the head of the city executive power Gulzhan Kurmanbekova, Trend reports.

"In the city of Arys, 33 investment projects will be implemented in 2024-2029 for a total of 46 billion tenge. As a result, it is planned to create about 1,000 new jobs. And last year, 10 investment projects were implemented," she said.

According to her, in general, the socio-economic indicators of the city at the end of the year show positive dynamics in all areas. Thus, if the volume of gross regional product reached 55.8 billion tenge (about $124 million), then investments in fixed assets amounted to 22.6 billion tenge (about $50.2 million), which is 45.2 percent more than in 2022.

"The Auyl Amanaty program is being implemented in five rural districts of the city. To date, the project has approved and financed 131 projects worth 770.2 million tenge (about $1.7 million) from the rural districts of Akdala, Dermene, Bayyrkum, Zhideli, and Kozhatogay. In order to increase the income of the city's population, a special employment map was approved; last year, 3,763 new jobs were created in the city," she noted.

As Kurmanbekova pointed out, there are significant infrastructure innovations in the region.

"Thus, 14 projects for the construction of drinking water have been developed throughout the city with a total cost of 2.2 billion tenge (about $4.9 million). Also, the city of Arys and surrounding settlements are provided with a fully centralized power grid," the head of the city said.
