ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 2. Kazakhstan's KazTransOil JSC (national operator of the main oil pipeline) will enhance the transit of Russian oil to Uzbekistan by more than thrice, Trend reports, citing the company.
Thus, by 2024, the volume of Russian oil transiting Kazakhstan's
borders to Uzbekistan will have increased to 550,000 tons per
year.
In 2023, KazTransOil JSC shipped 154,300 tons of Russian oil to
Uzbekistan.
In 2017, KazTransOil JSC began pumping Russian oil to Uzbekistan
via its main oil pipeline system.
The transit volume in 2017 was 67,900 tons, whereas in 2018 it was
35,800 tons. From 2019 to 2022, no Russian oil was transported
through Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan. In 2023, KazTransOil JSC shipped
154,300 tons of Russian oil to Uzbekistan.
KazTransOil JSC is the national operator for oil pipelines. It is part of the KazMunayGas JSC (Kazakhstan's national oil and gas company) group and owns a diversified network of main oil pipelines with a length of 5,400 km.
