ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 11. Kazakhstan plans to increase fuel prices for foreign citizens, Trend reports, citing the draft order of the Ministry of Energy with updated prices for RON-92, RON-93 gasoline, and diesel fuel, depending on the volume of consumption and the origin of vehicles.
Thus, for citizens of foreign countries, the price of RON-92 and RON-93 gasoline will be set at 245 tenge ($0.54) per liter. For Kazakh drivers, the price will remain the same - 205 tenge ($0.45) for up to 100 liters per day. In addition, Kazakh drivers with cars with Kazakh state license plates consume up to 205 liters per day.
Moreover, the price of diesel fuel (summer or off-season) for foreign citizens will be 315 tenge ($0.69) per liter. For Kazakh drivers, the price will remain the same - 295 tenge ($0.65) for up to 100 liters per day. In addition, Kazakh drivers with cars with Kazakh state license plates consume 295 liters per day.
This decision is aimed at maintaining the fuel balance in the domestic market as well as minimizing the risks of flows and the "gray" export of petroleum products.
The final decision on the draft order will be made once all procedures have been completed, after considering recommendations from interested parties.
