ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 20. Hyundai became the most popular car brand among vehicles produced in Kazakhstan from January through March 2024, Trend reports.
According to the Kazakhstan Automobile Union, during the above period, 9,934 units of Hyundai passenger cars were produced.
The second most popular was Chevrolet (7,249 units), the third was Kia (6,278 units), the fourth was Jac (4,273 units), and the fifth was Jetour (2,779 units).
By model, the most produced in 2023 were the Chevrolet Cobalt (23,198 units), Hyundai Tucson (13,660 units), Jac J7 (11,483 units), Kia Sportage (10,180 units), and Hyundai Santa Fe (7,632 units).
By model, the most produced were: Chevrolet Cobalt (6,321 units), Hyundai Tucson (5,928 units), Kia Sportage (2,539 units), JetourX70 (2,406 units), and Jac J7 (2,273 units).
Meanwhile, 33,021 vehicles were produced in Kazakhstan from January through March 2024. This is 4 percent more than the same period in 2023 (31,766 units).
The main share of production falls on passenger cars – 30,696 units (an increase of 6.7 percent). In addition, in the first quarter, 1,356 units of trucks (a decrease of 42.3 percent), 633 buses (an increase of 58.6 percent), 206 units of trailers and semi-trailers, and 130 units of other special equipment were produced.
The Kazakhstan Automobile Union includes the Association of Automobile Manufacturers, the Association of Automotive Component Manufacturers, the Association of Public Transport, the Association of Importers, the Association of Dealers, the Association for the Sale of Used Cars, and the Association of Automotive Experts and Auditors (conformity assessment of automotive products).
