ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 23. Housing prices in Kazakhstan's primary market grew by 1.3 percent in March 2024 compared to March 2023, Trend reports.

As the country's Bureau of National Statistics notes, secondary market apartment prices fell by 2.3 percent during the same time period.

Furthermore, the rent for comfortable housing in March 2024 has risen by 2.3 percent from the same month last year.

Regionally, primary housing prices in annual terms increased significantly in the cities of Aktobe by 8.9 percent and Kyzylorda by 7.1 percent.

While Zhezkazgan (22.4 percent), Karaganda (23 percent), Atyrau (21 percent), and Taldykorgan (8.8 percent) led price rises in the rental housing market, Atyrau (10.8 percent) and Taldykorgan (8.8 percent) led price increases in the secondary housing market.

At the same time, over the month (March 2024 compared to February 2024), prices for the resale of apartments increased by 0.2 percent, and prices for the sale of new housing decreased by 0.4 percent. Rents for comfortable housing in March decreased by 0.6 percent compared to the previous month.

In February, primary market housing prices increased by 3 percent, while secondary market flats decreased by 3.3 percent.
