ASTANA, Kazakhstan, May 27. The national debt of Kazakhstan as of April 1 this year amounted to $61 billion, Trend reports.
According to the information of the Eurasian Economic Commission, on the specified date, the national debt of Kazakhstan is 3 percent more than the value of the same date last year, which amounted to $59 billion.
On that date, the country's domestic debt amounted to $45.8 billion, which is eight percent higher than in the same month of 2023, which amounted to $42.1 billion.
At the same time, at the beginning of April this year, Kazakhstan's external public debt amounted to $15.2 billion, which is 10 percent lower than last year ($16.9 billion).
Meanwhile, Russia took first place among the Eurasian Economic Commission countries in terms of public debt, which as of April 1 this year amounted to $283.2 billion, which is eight percent less than the same indicator last year, which amounted to $307.8 billion.
