ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 9. The Dutch ING (Internationale Nederlanden Groep) has revealed its GDP growth expectations for Kazakhstan, Trend reports.
As ING analysts note, in the third and fourth quarters of 2024, growth will be 4.6 and 3.6 percent, respectively.
At the same time, at the end of 2024, GDP growth is expected to be 3.7 percent. The previous forecast expected GDP growth at the end of 2024 to be at 4 percent.
In the interim, ING anticipates that GDP growth will be 5.4 percent in the first quarter of 2025, increase to 5.5 percent in the second quarter, decrease to 5.3 percent in the third quarter, and then increase to 5.7 percent in the fourth quarter.
Moreover, ING analysts forecast GDP growth of 5.5 percent by the end of 2025. In addition to this, in 2026, the growing GDP will decline again and amount to 4.5 percent. Forecasts for the end of 2025 and 2026 remain unchanged from the previous forecast.
Furthermore, Kazakhstan's economic growth amounted to 5.1 percent in 2023. Last year, the volume of investments in fixed capital increased by 13.7 percent and amounted to $39.5 billion, while over the first nine months of 2023, $19.7 billion of foreign direct investment was attracted.
