ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 16. Kazakhstan and Austria discussed cooperation in the field of civil aviation, Trend reports.
According to information, it became known during a meeting between the Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan to the International Civil Aviation Organization Timur Tlegenov with the Permanent Representative of Austria and the regional European group to ICAO (Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Switzerland) Christian Schleifer.
The parties discussed issues of bilateral Kazakh-Austrian and Kazakh-European cooperation, including cooperation in ICAO during the meeting.
Christian Schleifer emphasized the authority of Kazakhstan in ICAO and the international arena as a whole.
The Head of the Permanent Mission of Kazakhstan to ICAO spoke about the current state and plans for further development of the domestic civil aviation industry. He also noted plans to modernize existing and build new airports and aviation infrastructure, to open new flights, including between the capitals of Kazakhstan and Austria, to improve compliance with ICAO standards on flight safety and aviation security.
To note, the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan (AAK) and the Civil Aviation Authority of Mongolia (CAA) agreed to further continue and expand cooperation in the field of flight and aviation safety.
