Conference on e-government development opens in East Kazakhstan

(Kazinform) - The second international conference Electronic government: regional solutions open today in Ust Kamenogorsk town and will last until July 28.

More than 150 delegates from Kazakhstan, Russia, Estonia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Armenia and Tajikistan will participate in the forum. Among them will be the Director of Academy of E-management of Tallinn city, experts in the sphere of informational communication technologies, leaders of republican and regional regulatory bodies, representatives of non-governmental organizations (NGOs), regional mass media and others.

According to the Department of Domestic Policy of East Kazakhstan oblast (region of Kazakhstan), the participants will exchange experience and opinions on perspective forms, trends and methods of e-government introduction. Besides, there will be considered new proposals to the draft law On provision of citizens access to the information on state bodies activity. The second day of the conference will be dedicated to holding a roundtable Role of informational communication technologies in development of e-democracy, reports Trend.

The event is initiated and organized by the Department of Domestic Policy and akimat (city hall) of the region, computer center Rating, fund Informational initiative and public foundation Center of local governments development.

It is planned to discuss more than 25 topical reports. The work of two days conference will be opened by the Deputy Chairman of Kazakhstans Agency on Informatization and Communication K. Yessekeyev.
