(gazeta.kz) - Benita Ferrero-Waldner, EC Commissioner for External Relations and the European Neighbourhood Policy, is going to pay an official visit to Kazakhstan, Yerzhan Ashikbayev, official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, stated yesterday, October 16, at a traditional briefing in Astana, Kazakhstan Today correspondent reports.
"Meetings with the top state officials are planned during the visit, at which the co-operation between the EU and our country will be discussed. The programme also includes a visit to the Eurasian National University named after L.Gumilev and a meeting with its students and professors," - he said.
"Besides the Commissioner is going to meet Ambassadors of the EU member states accredited in Kazakhstan and pay a visit to Almaty," - the diplomat said.
Benita Ferrero-Waldner will visit Kazakhstan from 18 to 20 October, reports Trend.
